Escanaba has plenty of hotels for you to choose from for your stay. Some of the top tourist rated hotels is the Hiawatha motel at 2400 Ludington St. It is a discount motel with reasonable rates which offer 20 rooms and pets are allowed. For reservations please call 906-786-1341. Another hotel preferred by guests is the Econo Lodge at 921 N Lincoln Rd. The hotel is non-smoking, offers 50 rooms and includes an indoor hot tub and sauna.

If you prefer a more comfortable and luxurious stay, you may find that the Historic House of Ludington suits your needs. The House of Ludington has a rich history behind it, it has survived wars, fires, stock market crashes, prohibition, the depression, the post-war booms and the so-far present inflation. Ever since its conception in 1865, it has maintained a nationally known reputation as a hotel with “class” and has hosted some of the most famous people in the world. Among the dignitaries who have enjoyed its food and services are, to name a few, John Sousa, Randy Travis, Patricia Neal, Henry Ford, Prince Bertil of Sweden, Cornelius Vanderbuilt Jr., Guy Lombardo, Fred Waring, Jimmy Hoffa, George Gobel, Johnny Cash, Lynn Dickey, and scores of others too numerous to mention. If you’re visiting Escanaba in the summer or for its excellent fishing, you may want to consider a stay at the Fishery Pointe Beach Cottages. Fishery Pointe is located just 5 miles south of Escanaba on Hwy M-35. Their cottages offer all of the comforts of home at affordable prices with a casual family atmosphere! There are 5 fully furnished housekeeping cottages. They are furnished with refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, cooking utensils, showers, bedding, cable T.V. and BBQ grills. The cottages are rented weekly from Saturday to Saturday and are available the end of June thru August. These cottages are located right on the Lake Michigan beach front! You can’t mention Escanaba hotels without bringing up the Island Resort and Casino. The Island offers everything you would expect from a resort including room service, pool, hot tub, VIP services and suites. The average cost of a suite is around $100 per night. The casino is a full service gambling facility will slot machines and tables. The Island is not located directly in Escanaba but rather in Harris, MI, approximately 19 miles west of Escanaba. The Island hosts major concerts and other events and the drive from Escanaba is well worth it. The Island also offers an RV park which is open May 1st – November 30th.
